Just finished fixing the engine sump on ( Stage 33 )..but as a little tight, and would not like to take off at a later stage, I thought would install the battery at this stage, which according to Stage 13 should be an A23 type. But the battery is too big for the compartment..so I guess it won't be a A23 12vlt battery then...any ideas what the battery will be ?

The "using the battery box" inset article of issue 13 refers to the A23 battery is misinfo from the manufacturer - but as there are no electronics that can be connected to the battery as yet, it was only mentioned as a point of information of where the battery is fitted.
At this stage there is no reason to buy a battery as it’s not required until I ssue 100, and is in fact 3x LR44 button cells.

A word of advice...

Trim the locating pegs on the sump a bit.
Once in place, it's a nightmare to get it off again in the future.
