Just a small update as ran out of satin black for the frame and so only got around to painting the engine last night before work. As you can see its not as shiny as the Tamiya original now Al Spal attached the following image(s):

Nice finish to the paintwork on your engine/gearbox assembly Al, looking good and definitely an improvement on the standard kit finish.
Well done.

Thanks Graeme, done some more of this and have sprayed the frame and airbox assemblies. Various nuts and bolts and components were picked out in silver before the crankcases were fitted to the frame and a couple of hoses added. Once the carburettors were assembled and attached to the top end of the engine, the spark plugs were added and the assembly fitted to the crankcase and airbox. Once the glue had dried the ht leads were fitted onto the plugs and throttle cables added together with the clutch cable and fuse box cover fitted. More soon Al Spal attached the following image(s):

Time for some more on this beastie I have given the engine covers a polished aluminium coating but a couple could do with a light sanding and repainting. Moving on, the rear caliper and swingarm assembly have been cemented together as has the shaft drive hub. The seat lock assembly has been done and the rear suspension units loosely assembled for painting together with the coolant bottle and ignition component bracket and the exhaust collector boxes. These have all been primed and readied for painting.
