The Porsche 911 holds the distinction of being one of the oldest sports coupé names still in production with one million manufactured as of May 2017. The customised build is a tribute to a Porsche 911 icon!

Any questions on the Customised Build can be posted into the Porsche general discussion area: http://forum.model-space...aspx?g=topics&f=527

Off we go with a 'modified' version of this iconic car.

Everything added or changed is well within the capabilities of anyone here.
The kit is superbly detailed but there is still room to add those little extra's that aren't always hugely prominent but add to the overall realism and give they more to spot.

Basic assembly information won't be added as it's all very clearly explained in the excellent official build.
Overall, text will be kept to a minimum except for where it is needed.
As they say - A picture says a thousand words...

Pack 2

The second section of the build and we are on to the engine.
Again, anything done here can be achieved by everyone on the forum.

For weathering washes on the engine, use matt black thinned heavily with white spirit so that the wash runs into the creases, crevices and hollows.
Don't overdo it.
As the saying goes, 'Less is more'.

Eventually, any black screws that are showing will be painted to disguise them.
The central fan screw has been replaced with a scale hex bolt. These kind of miniature fixings can be bought in many hobby shops or online suppliers.

This completes Packs 1 and 2.
