Might be an idea to scrape the paint from the beam rest surface of the deck supports otherwise you may find that the beams won't adhere or break free.

hi all i have rigged a couple of cannons up,i found this very fiddly..i found some 2mm blocks in my old endeavour kit which i used instead of the supplied ones also i will need some longer pins to secure them to the deck as the ones supplied i felt were not long enough

Hi Benny

I've tried to use original stuff supplied by DeAgostini but I wasn't happy with the results, in the end I bought some more suitable (smaller) blocks and thread. You can check results in my build diary.
Can't wait to see new version of yours.

Tom

hi tom i have redone all 10 cannons but i have only fitted 5 ,the other 5 i will nail to the deck tomorrow.but i then realised that you will only see the backside of the cannons anyway.as long as there rigged then thats fine..sometimes i find myself being to fussy about parts of the build that dont need so much attentionBlink

Your cannons and rigging look good to me! I have also been contemplating improving the looks of the cannon, but as have you have decided that these particular peices are obscured I have come to a similar conclusion.

The thing to remember is that its not a race, build at your own pace and take as long as you like and savour the end result!

Hi benny! Cool

Your picture problem is sorted and may I say it's looking good. Not much decking to do now then you can get on with all the detail work. Remember when you get to cutting the last ports and mainly the opening for the timber heads those top set of planks just want to snap.

She is taking shape! Keep up the good work mate.
