Hey all, I am well on my way to finishing the leg on my R2-A1 build. Only issue Im having is the shoulder sensor. Well, it's white and I think it might stand out on a black R2.  So my question is, what type of sensor is it? Infrared? I need to figure out a way to get it black (or at least dark). The plastic housing I will airbrush, but the sensor itself has me worried a bit. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi, it is a distance sensor like you would find on cars for the parking sensor. So it will be perfectly alright to paint it. I have painted mine. Darren

Please be aware that changing a component yourself from its 'as supplied state' by painting it for example would make it 'a non standard part' and therefore not covered by the free replacement service provided by DeAgostini for faulty parts. Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .
