Though Tamiya also have anounced a re-release of their amazing 1/12 Caterham Super Seven BDR which will be a fraction of the price..

It looks really nice. Tempting.

I'm wondering now - have they got licence for all Lotus cars seeing as they are touting the Esprit as well?

I'd love a Lotus Elan S2 coupe if they could do it.

I had one donkeys years ago.
Gorgeous, fun, and at the time, hair-raisingly fast!

Roy.

I built the Tamiya kit.One of the best Tamiya kits ever.

1/8 would be nice though.

Looks good (except steering wheel). Blink

Also the optional trailer may be a tight fit in the display case, but hope that`s an illusion. Like the other illusions in the advertising. Same parts with issues 1 - 3 and an awful photoshop with the retainer straps on the trailer going through the tyres.Confused Confused

Be good to see some real parts.

Looks like it may be a popular choice BigGrin although I would prefer the Esprit they tested previously.

I can imagine this will get a release in Japan at least.
They are MASSIVE Lotus fans over there.

Not too bad. I’d prefer a 1:1 replica kit myself. They actually make one that uses the same engine my Focus ST has.

For now I will just have to be happy with my Lego version.

It’s a market test that will halt after a few issues
