There's one kit DeAgostini DOESN'T have ... but SHOULD. The Original Star Trek Series Communicator, Tricorder, and Phaser (with removable Phaser II).

These quality kits would be even better than most of the props that WERE available as kits (i.e., the D. Stines kits or Roddenberry.com kits). I'm sure licensing would be expensive - but there are an awful lot of Trekkies out there (I'm one of them) who would give their left arm to have prop-quality replicas. The Wand Company has made a remote control shaped like a phaser and a bluetooth communicator.

However, having seen (and experienced first-hand) the quality of the DeAgostini kits, I truly believe that the DeAgostini kits, if produced, would be the best of all. Thanks!

To be honest, the market would be extremely small.
Very interesting but nowhere near the market needed to make it viable.

If I remember correctly, there was a test a good few years ago for the Starship Enterprise.
It never happened.

And unfortunately Tomick has already stated that replica weapons, even Science Fiction ones will NOT be produced by any partwork company.

I can understand the disappointment, as it is something I would love myself. I have a number of resin and a couple of IP phasers and the like, and a 'working' tricorder [lights and sound] and communicator would be wonderful.

I hope that some day, we may get a partwork collection of the best movie weapons of all time, but it would have to be something which included a single weapon in each issue, and no bigger than 1:8 or 1:4 scale so that there would be no possibility of any of them being mistaken as a real firearm.

Full size weapons are not going to be offered these days. Members of the 501st [SW Imperial costume group] have been confronted with armed police who didn't seem to recognise the Stormtrooper armour and blasters.

So "It's a Sci-Fi replica" doesn't hold any weight. Sorry.

Can but dream, but won’t ever come about as a Partwork, that much I do know.
