While the planking of the coach body continues slowly I have been trying a few colours for the chassis and wheels. I have settled on a light yellow which can be seen in the pic below. This is just an initial coat and once some more has been added the clefts will be cleared of paint and some more construction of the wheels will take place. Al Spal attached the following image(s):

Looking good Al and that shade of yellow looks to be a good match for the original colour (I have several books on the subject).
Looking forward to your next update, well done so far, keep up the good work.

Wheels have turned out very well Spal as I found them a bit tricky to keep to shape,I had to build a jig to keep them round and true as for the colour I have used Yellow Ochre, not as it should be I think I will experiment a bit more. Regards Trev. Work in progress: Tombstone (Scratch) - San Francisco 2. -The Mayflower ( scratch by plan).

Thanks for looking in Ken, glad you like it. Whilst the planking still continues on the coach itself I have assembled the chassis and started on the steering parts. Once removed from the fret they have been sanded and joined apart from the long haul bar which is just taped in position at the moment. They have had a white primer added and now await the yellow to be applied to 2 sides. Thanks for looking Al Spal attached the following image(s):
