 Hi All With the masking done we get down to painting. The under-surfaces of the fuselage and wings were painted a very pale blue this has to be mixed at a ratio of 10 parts white to 1 of medium blue. All the early Roland's were painted all over in the above blue and as they were 37 mph faster than any allied fighter they had the edge to get away from any trouble. So as a tribute to my Airfix Roland from all those years ago I painted the whole aircraft in the blue. She will be getting A camo job to fit in with the Decals I will be using. More soon. Very nice Andy, love the red stripes and the teeth. Like your Sopwith Snipe, another colourful and striking scheme, as so many WWI aircraft were.
