Hi all, Quote:Thanks for that. Disapointed the damper springs are plastic, so guess non working suspension ! I can understand a slight feeling of disappointment at the shock absorbers seemingly being cast in plastic, but it may be too soon to make assumptions about their frailty or not being up to the job methinks?? I agree that it would have been nice to have cast metal parts for the shocks but please remember that ALL plastic parts on this model are made of ABS plastic, which is VERY tough and durable, so it should be up to the job of supporting the weight of this seemingly quite weighty model whilst still functioning properly, after all it will only be tested occasionally, as I don't think it is meant to be 'played' with on a regular basis as it is essentially, a 'Display' model, is it not?? The ABS plastic used is NOT like the harder and hence, more brittle, polystyrene plastic used in plastic construction kits made by companies such as Airfix, Revell, Tamiya, etc.?? Just thought I would make that point and as you say there is nothing to stop anyone fitting metal modded parts to the dampers (such as rams, etc) though I think DeAg would not use the ABS material for the parts in question if it clearly wasn't up to the task?? __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Regards, ... Kev.

OK, just to be clear, the above photos are not an official release from De Agostini UK. The photos appear to be from the Japanese launch of this product.
In the UK we may well be changing running order or improving components from feedback we recieve from our Japanese colleagues who launched the product a few months before us.
So yes, we continue to supplty the high-quality Kyosho components but please don't take the above pictures as gospel!

To me it looks like the coilover will actually consist of a steel spring as the damper appears to be in two parts which would imply that the suspension will have travel.
