Thanks everyone, really enjoying the build, and glad to see it is not just me making those mistakes. Hopefully, posting on here where I have gone wrong helps others. It has certainly helped me a couple of times reading other peoples builds BigGrin

So onto issues 34 to 37, and the first thing we get to do is test the motor for the leg.

This is the motor actually spinning, so pleased it worked.

The next step was to fit the holes with plugs. Large ones for lower holes.

Then smaller ones for the upper holes.

The latches as they are called fitted next.

Once done, the 'box' half is placed over the motor, which can only be done one way. It is screwed in with the obligatory black screws.

The 2nd latch is then put on.

And the box top screwed in as a whole

We move then onto the powerbus. It says in the instructions that it is a tight fit. IT ISN'T it just fits in lovely.

Once it is in everything is nice and neat, and snug

Once the other one is fitted it really does look quality.

This is the completed assembly for Issue 34

Issue 35 is up next and it was something I was looking forward to, the Light Sabre housing.

It was very straightforward to do in a few steps.

Issue 36 was just a simple case of replicating the previous shoulder

The next issue - issue 37, has probably been the most challenging yet.

unfortunately my camera played up a bit sorry.

1st up is to fit the tab to the rack

Then the motor into the motor block, it says in the instructions that it only goes in one way, it can actually go in two.

The cable is put through the hole is straight forward.

The gear is then put in

The first of the microswitches is put in with the 'trigger' facing down

The two micro switches when fitted are basically opposites

Putting the rack in the right place was pretty easy too, just making sure that the tab was against the microswitch itself.

The hardest bit was getting the two tube pieces together without, dropping off the rack, or the gear falling out, very fiddly.

The completed ejector is then fitted to the tube

Add the end cap

You get the completed result

If you build it he will come

Thanks everyone for you kind comments. It's a double this time with a whopping 8 issues. This is because I had an op on my shoulder a few weeks ago and my arm has been in a sling, now it is healing nicely so I can do the build, and what a bit of fun it was especially the light sabre BigGrin

OK first up issue 38, basically a few hole plugs and the leg

Which give this result

Now the only issue I found was getting the plugs to fit properly on the holes closest to the flat edge as really it should be mostly round with a flat edge.

The previous parts fit to the leg piece.

Issue 39 next and one question why wait until issue 39 to give us a screw box Confused Confused The pill box I bought is actually better, as it is easier to get my pigs tit fingers in to get the screws out. Although, this one does have a nice slot for the screwdriver, and I also put my unused cables here.

Also included were the piston parts, which go together as before.

Issue 40 now, more leg parts, but most eagerly awaited light sabre parts too.

Only the leg part is used however to give

And so to the light sabre issue 41 Wahoo!

First things first was to line it all up in a row, most surprising of all is you have to small lugs to fit in a groove to become a locating lug weird Confused

Step 1 was to fit a small lug and join two parts together, initially I had a bit too much glue, as can be seen in image, but I quickly wiped this off.

Next step, was to fit the plate with the counter sunk screws provided.

Number 3 is to fit the "brass" plate.

Next up to fit the other locating lug, which is a bit fiddly but does the job, HOWEVER, it did look like it wasn't fully engaged in the groove. It was the next part fitted lovely BigGrin

Now the next part, was to fit a bit of more of the tube, it goes on the "rim" side first.

Coil/Spiral part up next, and it is really taking shape. I must add, that all the parts so far have to be glued together.

The final 2 pieces of the light sabre jigsaw are held in place with a long screw

Screw it on the rest of the body, and Luke has his little toy BigGrin

Issues 42 to 44 give us more leg parts.

Onto issue 45, we have yet another LED display giving different coloured lights.

Green for go!!

Yellow is ready and willing

Time to put these on a Christmas tree

The finish of issue 45

Onwards and upwards to the next issues - CAN'T WAIT!!
If you build it he will come

OK double build update for diary again, may keep it like this depending on those all important parts.

Well issues 46 to 49, were nothing special really, just a case of going over old ground

Issue 46, was just a case of putting in two bits - very taxing BigGrin

Issue 47, again not much to do

As you can see

Onto issue 48

Just the sensor to fit to the shoulder

However, I did notice something with this that I can't remember doing on the other one. Routing the sensor wire between the screw pillar to keep it out the way.

Issue 49, just involved fitting one plate

And that was it, but the next delivery was the most anticipated as I got the dome Love BigGrin

Issue 50 first up

A wheel and the first blue panel for the dome, A wheel is a wheel so wont recreate it here.

Now for issue 51 the dome, it was very well packed and very well protected, also very good quality and almost brushed steel feel to it.
Although you can't tell from picture, my camera is playing up so apologies.

As I say I apologise for poor quality in pictures, think focusing may be an issue on camera. Anyway I digress. The panel is held in by double sided tape, it does say in the instructions that this is only temporary and they will be fixed in place when putting dome on chassis. for now we have this

It's a bit fiddly to get the tape in place, mine wasn't perfect but if it is only temporary it doesn't matter too much. The main thing is put the tape on the right side square, next to the thin double square.

As you can see below, not perfect but it will hold panel in place

Again crappy image, but the panel is in place, and from the front it is on the LEFT side

Issue 52 a lovely circuit board

OK I thought that's all there was in this issue until I read the instructions, there is also a very small very thin piece of thin clear plastic that acts as the calibration for the sensor. I nearly missed it but luckily I found it under the circuit board.

here it is

It is fitted under the foot sensor, once you have removed the foot cover to gain access.

Believe it or not this is the thing in place, can't even tell it is there it's a MARE!

Issue 53, gave us yet another circuit board and this is where the fun and pain started.

After wiring up the test circuit as described in the instruction, you can't really go wrong, the instructions are very good, I was ready to test

First up the light sabre ejector

Ejector in

Ejector out

Yep worked first time, very smooth action too, and very quiet. However, afterwards I ran into an issue. The red and black cable would not budge from the connector, after a lot of manipulation I managed to get it out, lifting the connector white 'holder' up in the process, thankfully none of the pins came off the board. I was just a little disappointed that this could happen, as the connector was fitted correctly, it just seemed too tight for the actual holder. Hopefully, no one else will have this issue.

Next up was the shoulder proximity sensor test, after connecting a blue light would come on if it got to within a certain distance from an object.

Not near an object

Near an object

However, I found this a bit flaky as sometimes if not in it's radius I could almost touch the leg with no blue light, but I was doing a sneak attack from below. Generally, though I would get a result by simply waving my hand in front of the senor.
BUT, my biggest bug bear (and I don't know if it is just me not been able to find it, NOWHERE does it mention about what to do if there is no response, or how to adjust if the sensor reacts too late. Hmmmm maybe someone can enlighten me on that.

Also, in this configuration I tested the foot sensor

Not touching the ground

No green light displayed

Touching the ground

Green light displayed

But yet again I still got a green light when the foot was at an angle of about 10 degrees from the ground, yet again no explanation (that I could see) for fitting this little calibration plastic, or any explanation of what to do/adjust if it wasn't working.

Apart from that is was a very good set of issues, and the circuit board issue withstanding, a good set of parts.
If you build it he will come

So got issues 54 to 57 a few days ago, but have only just had time to get it built. start with issue 54

This consisted of a few dome panels, and some wheel parts, it was just a case of putting the panels in, the right way of course (Numbers up), and then putting them in with that awful double sided tape, I say awful because of what happened later in the build.

Now onto the wheel parts jus fitting a bearing, and plate, with the wheel inbetween.

Now onto issue 55, and a lot more building to do with this issue, with a few parts, basically it is fitting the motor and wires.

This time I remembered to get the wire to the best 90 degree angle I could to allow for the cover to fit, as with the other leg I had to redo it as, the cover was fouling on the cable, not this time.

Routing the sensor away from the screw posts.

No fouling on the cover, I got it right BigGrin

As I said quite a bit to build in that issue, now onto issue 56

Now this was the pain in the arse one, with the stupid useless bits of tape, I managed to get the brown bit off two of them but the 3rd - no chance, it just ruffled up and became a joke, so I left it off!!Cursing

The good thing is it still stuck on ok.

Finally putting on part of the foot

OK last issue now and again dome parts, and foot sensor.

That's it, I just wish there was some other way to attach the dome panels as the tape just doesn't cut it, especially if you can't get one of the layers off. Ahh well onwards and upwards.
If you build it he will come

Nice work with R2 and the tape is just to hold the panels in place until it is put on the frame where they then held in place with nylon screws.
