you def.need a pair of head magnifiers, maplins, cmb or even qvc.a good pair of sissors and cutting shears,a large syringe for glueing blocks and deadeyes, long nose pliers, and forcepts self locking type.and bags and bags of patience. their are loads of help to make deadeye jigs, just trawl through the threads. Current builds: SotS, USS Consitution, San Felipe, D51 loco, HMS Surprise, RB7, Arab Dhow, Jotika HMS Victory Completed builds: HMS Pickel, Thermopylae, Mississipi river boat, Mary Rose, Cutty Sark, San Francisco II, HMS Victory x5, Titanic Lifeboat, Panart HMS Victory Launch, Hachette Titanic, Virginia Schooner, Endeavour Longboat. http://www.model-space.com/gb/

Following on from Karl's advice, I have found the microsnips or rigging snips very useful for getting a cleaner cut on rigging cord rather than scissors. Rigging SnipsMike T
