Very good Phil, you are becoming something of an expert at portraying that weathered marine look on models of sea going vessels. Excellent work, love the salt streaks, very well done.
Looking forward to the mahogany planking. It'll be a nice change for you to do something that isn't predominantly grey in colour! Keep up the good work.

Good evening from 'The Dockyard'. This weeks update sees the addition of light, rust effects. Heavier rusting will be applied at a later date. Using the rust coloured weathering powder I mentioned in last weeks post, I sparingly applied it to small, random areas around the hull above the waterline, with a small brush. These areas were then faded out using a cotton bud, blending the edges with downward strokes to simulate light rust running down the hull by the sea. The attached photo shows the rust weathering powder being applied with a brush.
