Think most expected something like this to happen at some point. Lets see what the investigation says as to the reason why it happened. Not sure these driverless vehicles will ever be fool proof.... Regards Alan

No suprise this has happened. At the end of the day the controlling system has to make a decision (If it has time). Scenario: Driving along a coast road and a child runs into the road. Choices: Run the child down or drive off the cliff. Awful choice either way, but who wants to make that decision when programming an Autonomous vehicle? Having spent a lot of my working life on the road I`ve been involved in a couple of bad accidents (none my fault) but a split second decision is needed and who says whats right and whats wrong.
