PACK 6

In pack 6 we complete three rescue vehicles and begin working on the legs that lift Thunderbird2.
The majority of weathering in this section is again, a repeat or continuation of previous work so I’ll try not to add repetitive text here or in the pictures.

The blue transmitter truck should be assembled as per the instructions but as always, check for any seam lines or sprue ‘pips’ that will need smoothing away.
Repaint any parts of the kit where you may need to.

This vehicle is shown in snow weathering in the kit instructions and there is also a guide there explaining how to do this.
It therefore makes sense to demonstrate a different kind of weathering here.
In reality, the vehicle would not remain covered in snow after the mission was completed.
It would melt revealing a typically dirty Thunderbirds rescue vehicle underneath.
This is the weathering I have applied using matt black and matt brown washes with slightly heavier use of the paints on the tracks and wheels.

The next rescue vehicle is the tiny mobile canon.

This needs careful assembly as many of the parts are very small.
Weathering on this one can be limited to a very simple wash of black, brown and grey.

The third vehicle is another lifting car which needs no explanation here as by now you have already built two of them.
Just take care to make sure your weathering matches the other two cars.

The remaining parts in pack 6 are components of the extending legs on Thunderbird 2.
These should be assembled as per the kit instructions.
