The latest tests of various diesel cars show most are using cheats that will allow them to pass emissions tests, one car switches off its emissions mode after 22 minutes and then goes into dirty driving mode. It would seam they know an emissions test last about 20 minutes. https://www.msn.com/en-g...-AAh4WAx?ocid=spartandhpCurrent builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi Andy, i think most - if not all- the manufacturers would fail this test. I doubt for one minute that VW were the only ones. The problem is it was only a short few years ago that the government said ' get rid of your old polluting petrol engines and buy cleaner diesels'. That was what prompted the 'scrappage scheme'. It's like they make it up as they go along. The synical part of me thinks it could also be a ploy to boost new car sales . Electric cars will only really take off when the price drops and their range rises. No good going on a 500 mile journey if you car's range is on 80 miles on a full charge.
