Thanks for looking in and your comments. appreciated...  .. In this stage we assemble another 16 gun carriages. These are assembled in exactly the same way as already outlined in stage 18, therefore am not going to repeat the process here. hi. i have started my build and will shortly be starting the first set of planking, it says in the instructions to glue the planks but does not mention pins, i see you pinned yours and that there are pins in the kit, should i use these pins for the planking. Im getting sweaty palms at the prospect of the planking as thats where i seem to fail lol

If you would prefer to use brass pins then they are available in various sizes from this supplier https://www.cornwallmode...p;TB=O&ACTION=Go%21
I would also recommend you pre-drill the pin holes first to help prevent the wooden strips or frames from splitting... One of my favourites is round headed map pins however, you should consider these as one time use only simply because the head of the pin is likely to come away when withdrawing the pins. Looking to move this one forward a little and this stage has us fitting and rigging the 16 cannons on the upper deck. Stage 19 outlined in detail the process of fitting and rigging the cannons so it is not my intention to repeat the process here. This brought an end to stage 43. More soon....
