Good evening from 'The Dockyard'.

This weeks update continues with fitting the mahogany planking to the forward section of the casing.

A job not to be rushed, what with intricate cuts around hatches and tapered edges, has settled me into a steady rhythm.

The attached photo shows the conning tower being fitted so that I could plank to its edges. I modified the conning tower and fitted dowels to it in Jan 2017.

Conning tower located in position.

Having dowels means that I can fit and remove the conning tower as many times I like and be assured of a correct fit every time.
