BigGrinHi All

Tamiya include some masks in the kit these must 1st be cut out then applied to the bodywork then further masking tape is applied to cover the parts to be kept white. After sealing the edges another 3 coats of red were applied to the body and then left to dry.

Next the wheels after the chrome was removed were cleaned up the plastic moulded on nuts removed and the replacement turned aluminium ones fitted to the hubs.

The inner cockpit has had a coat of semi gloss black added to the seat area.

The cylinder heads were next fitted to the block then the pumps ect fitted to the sump sides. Next the fuel pump/intake tray and distributor were made up and fitted to the engine along with the pipe work along with the electrics to power the sparkplugs. The last thing fitted today was the chrome guard at the rear of the gearbox.

More soon.

BigGrin Hi All

The shocks were made up by first making up the jig as the instructions say too then the front and rear shocks were made up. You can see by the pictures all the parts for the front shocks, the rear are about the same partwise. Assembly is quite simple using the springs from the kit but the wow factor after assembly of working shocks says it all.

The main body was unmasked and then glued together with the front and rear bulkheads then the decals were added the tub and front and rear centre pieces are just placed in position for now.

More soon .
