Hi, I intend to paint my model as per the instructions. To date, I've painted the cannon and parts of the bulwarks in yellow ochre but I can't help but notice that this is pretty dull yet the black and yellow on the photographs of the model on the covers of the magazine contain a far brighter yellow. I have got the 'package' from Cornish Paints - should I have another shade of yellow?
Thanks, Tim

Yellow Ochre of Admiralty paint via CMB, Caldercraft or the Model Space online shop is indeed the correct shade and should not be a bright yellow.

Thanks,
I'm sure I've got the right stuff but, comparing it to the yellow on the photograph on issue 1, it's nowhere near as bright. My paint is almost a mustard colour whereas the picture show a proper yellow! Maybe I have a bad batch!?

Correct it is a close to mustard colour, and like I said the ship's banding is not supposed to be bright yellow or anything else for that matter; suggest you take a look at the actual ship on the oficial HMS Victory web site. http://www.hms-victory.c...amp;id=78&Itemid=111
