Thanks for looking in and your comments, much appreciated. The next job was to cut down the kit cockpit/floor. The resin cockpit was put into place and the fuselage marked. The kit part was then put in place and the floor marked where the fuselage was marked, Pic 46. The floor was then cut slightly short to allow a little room for correct positioning, Pic 47. The bulkhead which fits at the rear of the cockpit had to be cut down to fit behind the resin cockpit, Pics 48 & 49. The inner fuselage halves, the cut down bulkhead and the remaining kit floor were all then sprayed, Pic 50. A piece of plastic card was cut to the same width as the floor and glued to the base of the resin cockpit, Pic 51. The parts were then placed back in the fuselage and the remaining kit floor tacked to the plastic card before removing the assembly and gluing more firmly, Pic 52. The remaining gap was roughly filled with a strip of plastic (this area will not be visible once the fuselage halves are joined) and sprayed, Pic 53. Graeme pemberg attached the following image(s):

Thanks for the comments. I took a break from the fuselage and started on the wheel wells. First the casting blocks were removed from the castings. Picture 54 shows the as received on the left and after removal and sanding on the right and Pic 55 shows the well with the bulkhead. It was then time to conduct the required surgery on the lower central wing section. Picture 56 shows the wing section, the right-hand side is untouched, whilst the left has had the necessary surgery. The resin parts were then test fitted into the wing section, Pic 57. Graeme pemberg attached the following image(s):

Thanks for looking in. I have now glued the interior assembly into the fuselage and glued the two halves of the fuselage together. I have also added the vertical stabiliser (tail), Pic. 58 shows the interior fitted into the right half of the fuselage and Pic. 59 shows the completed fuselage with tail. I have started work on the Eduard landing flaps. Pic. 60 shows one of the frets which contains the parts for one pair of flaps. Some of these parts were very delicate and needed very careful handling, in particular the rib sections and longitudinal brace. Pic 61 shows a partially completed flap and Pic.62 shows the completed pair. That’s it for now Graeme pemberg attached the following image(s):

Another brief update The landing flaps have been painted interior green, Pic.63. The moulded on flaps were then cut from the kit parts. I realised that after I had done this there would be no support at the rear of the wings to maintain the correct spacing when the halves were joined together, the red area in Pic.64. I made up a spacer from scrap plastic card and shaped it prior the making the cuts, Pic.65. Work then moved on to the undercarriage and wheel wells. The kit parts for the undercarriage were assembled and temporally fitted into the wheel wells and the Aires etch parts added, Pics 66 & 67. The undercarriage was then removed and the wheel wells and undercarriage painted before gluing the parts together, Pic.68. The lower fuselage/centre wing section was sprayed with the underside colour around the wheel area and then the wheel wells were glued in place, Pic.69. I only realised after that the area of the under wings outside the wells are actually white in the variant I am building so will have to rectified later. The wing sections were then glued together and this in turn glued to the fuselage, Pic.70. That’s it for now, the next task is to fit the landing flaps to the plane.
