Hi all this will be my build Diary for the "Historic F1 competition build"

Ferrari 312T 1/64

This is the tiny pre painted screw together kit by DyDo.
For me and many others modelling can sometimes be costly (specially if you already have builds on the go!), very time consuming and lets be honest some people do not have the space required for a 'big' build - so is there another way? lets find out....

So here we have a cheap kit, a small kit and one which is obviously designed to be built quickly - lets see if it can deliver any of the pleasure we might associate with a much more involved larger kit.

but first lets take a look at the box or in this case packaging!

Ok so lets see what can be done to improve this tiny model,

first job is to make the tyres look more real.

as you can see in the photos they are shiney and dont look good.
I simply roughed up the surface of the rubber with wet and dry sand paper - I think the end result is far more pleasing.
