I bet the Argentinians are eyeing up the Malvinas (Falklands) right now, knowing that we would never be able to defend it like the last time, WITHOUT a Navy to back it up!! When will politicians realise that the ONE thing most Brits don't want to be cut, if they bothered to ask us, is Defence spending?? A very sad sight indeed and as the article states, Nelson would be weeping uncontrollably at what is happening to the Royal Navy, besides the other two armed forces!! Maybe we need the Argies to invade again, or for some other country with a tinpot leader, to give us a good kicking, just so that the government wakes up to how vulnerable they are leaving this country?? I HATE POLITICIANS - THEY ARE GUTLESS, SELF INDULGENT, NEVER LISTEN AND ARE MOST CERTAINLY WITHOUT ANY PRIDE!!! ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Regards ... Great Minds think alike Kev. Reading the article, I thought immediately of the Falklands, perhaps the Indian Navy would support us after all the aid we have sent them or even the Chinese might lend us their aircraft carrier considering how much we import from them? Mike T

Well we do still have a sole airworthy Vulcan They might also be able to scratch around for an odd Harrier or two, but sadly no ship to fly them from

Mike T Thanks Mike, ditto your comments also. No disrespect to India but it REALLY IS a sad day when a once great and proud nation such as ours has a Navy that is weaker than that of what was once, if not still is, a Third World country!!?? _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Regards ... Hi Mr T, Quote:Well we do still have a sole airworthy Vulcan
They might also be able to scratch around for an odd Harrier or two, but sadly no ship to fly them from Mr T If the last airworthy Vulcan was funded by the Government and not privately, I doubt we would even have that !!! _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Regards ...
