Arek. It certainly is not wrong to be considering buying a second ship. I have had to resort to a spread sheet so I know which ones I have in my dock yard. Sill got some years to go but I explain it away as my retirement stash Jackbern

Great to see you on board and looking forward to seeing your build progress.
You've made a great choice, good luck.

Oh dear. I bought the Vasa on 12month subscription today. I just couldn't resist Think I'll need to get a second job to fund my new hobby. It's Rachel btw and the last time I did anything with wood, I was still in school and broke the chisel in the lab that got me thrown out of the room. Interesting times ahead fellow builders! Hoping to upload a few photos each weekend - I feel this will then keep me on track.

Good thing is you won`t need a chisel, but I wish you all the best on your new venture. Also good to see another lady builder on the forum. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

It's nice not to receive a bizarre look when you bring up the subject that you build model ships lol. Personally, I find it very hard to sit still without working on something.

Glad to see you’ve taken the plunge Rach, the Vasa is a beauty and I’m sure you will enjoy building it. It will certainly complement your Victory build.
Enjoy Regards Gray

Arek, as I'm sure you'll start the Vasa before I do, be sure to share progress of your build!

I can say that if you follow the instructions very carefully then you'll find she fits together beautifully. Am sure you will love putting her together... Good luck with the build.... Regards Alan

I think you will start earlier My plan is to collect first 3 packs for whole ship frame and then dive in to it. Also I want to get at least to rigging stage with my San Francisco before move to anything else. As soon as I start the Vasa I will definitely share my progress. Regards, Arek

I'm just looking at the gun deck markings in pack 2 made in pencil - has anyone tried adding the planks using thin strips of wood, such as those used for the planking of the cutter/pinnace? Will it cause me fitting problems with later parts if I go for something that is not drawn on?

Hardly worth the effort simply because you will see very little of this deck when the model is complete, the rest of the decks are planked... Regards Alan
