Hi all The kit provides brass rings that are cut in half to replicate the rigols/eyebrows and were way out of scale so I replaced them with etch versions that look much better so after placing around 200 eyebrows above the port holes on the hull and adding the hawse pipes and reinforced deck plate above she was ready for undercoating. The pictures show the hull after two coats. The first gun has been made up a 20mm anti-aircraft with splinter shield and looks the part I think. More soon. Hi all Forgot that in issue one you got three figures so here they are an officer ,sailor and engineer they come pre painted and look the bizz. The hull and deck is now primed along with the bridge. The funnel has been made up having a MDF carcase and castings top and bottom the side covers are very thin aluminium. Still lots of detail to go on here. The instructions also give all the wartime paint colours and placings from 1941 to 1945. As she is being repaired/refitted in the dio she will be getting the 1943 paint job comprising of RN B55, G45 and G10 or to the layman western approaches blue/green, medium or neutral grey and dark grey disruptive camo. Hi All The base has been started and the dry dock walls are starting to go on. The lower hull has been given a couple of coats of Tamiya Dull Red and is now ready for more upper work paint to go on.
