I see rally cars, busses, movie space ships, but still no legendary race cars-surely the Senna Mclaren can be considered a success, being the most winning F1 car in history, I would think the forementioned race cars would also be very successful....................

Unfortunately its unlikely you'll see either as a Partwork, neither would be mass-market sellers by comparison of the Senna McLaren MP4/4.

There actually is a 1:8 Porsche 917 available from the Porsche Shop at the low low price of 10000 Euro. But yeah, I guess this is something for a very specific clientele.

I know its not 1/8 but the 1/12 MFH 917k probably delivers the biggest bang for your bucks Drool

Thanks for the responses; Amalgam makes a ready built which is what Greyhawk saw offered by the Porsche museum, too pricey for my tastes. And to Tomick; I've built an MFH 917- excellent kit but I'd much prefer an 8th scale 917K

I have seen the amalgam 917 up close.It is a spectacular model-but not worth the money they want for it.
