A belated thanks for the comments as its’ been a while since my last update. Pic.71 shows the props and engines being painted, the engine cowls and completed landing flaps can be seen in the background. The engines, flaps and cowls (after some painting were added to the fuselage and the invasion stripes masked and sprayed onto the wings and fuselage. The masked canopies were then added and the stripes masked off before giving the upper wings and fuselage their final colour, Pic 72. Pic 73 shows the aircraft after the underside has been painted and with the masking removed (apart from the canopies). The whole model was then given a coat of Klear to prepare it for a pin wash in the panel lines and the decals being applied, Pic 74. The masking was then removed from the canopies, the wheels and props added together with the rocket racks to complete the build, Pic 75. I will post more pics of the final build in the completed build section. I was hoping to do more weathering on the build but life intervened and I didn’t have the time and as you can see I only just made the competition deadline.
