I also had to fix in thin strips of 0.5mm plastic to the edges of the new profile to build it up to match the height of the original base and reduce the step. Without doing this it would be prove more difficult when building the tapered sides. That concludes this weeks update. One thing I've noticed during the last two weeks and especially tonight is the amount of time its taken to view a page and also load photos. Never had this problem before. My internet connection appears to working fine, so i'm a bit baffled to be honest. I'm thinking that this build diary has gotten too large and that is why everything takes an age to load or view. If others have experienced this, any help, advice or feedback would be greatly appreciated. During the next few days i will check other members build diaries to see how they load/view then check mine again. If i encounter a fast load up for other members while mine is still very slow I will mitigate this situation by closing this build diary and start a new one, continuing the build on there. Ho hum. Thanks for looking in, good luck to everyone who has entered the 'Cook 250 Comp', have a great weekend and happy modelling. Regards, Phil W. Hi Phil,I have to say what a fantastic job you're doing on the U-boat and I really enjoy following your work. I too have had problems with the loading and viewing of pictures on the forum - in fact, it's been an ongoing problem ever since I upgraded to Windows 10. Some days it works and other days it doesn't and when the issue arises, I normally close the forum tab, open up another site then return to Model Space forum again which often, but not always solves the problem for me. I think it's something I shall have to live with as I'm not a very 'techy' person. Maybe someone else on here can be of more help than me. It's always worth the wait to view both yours and other members build diary photos and look forward to your next installment. Happy building David

As I mentioned to Phil Tigerace, there's a lot more pondering at the moment as opposed to modelling as I try and work out how to make it. But it's getting there. Regards, Phil W. Much appreciated! I'm glad you like the build as it progresses. Regarding the issues with viewing this build and after messaging Tomick, i'll wait another week to see if there are any issues with this site. If, after that period is over and I'm still encountering loading / buffering problems, then I will start a new diary, continuing my build on there. Regards, Phil W.
