Hi

Anyone else having problems with the spacer rods from issue 73?

I have been unable to tighten the 8mm screws into 2 of the spacer rods, maybe it's a fault with them?

Two worked as they should, and are sturdy to the frame.

Thought I would check in here, before contacting customer support.

Cheers

Yeah i had this problem with 1 of my rods, i could bearly get a screw in. As though the hole wasnt deep enough.

Just contact de agostini and they will replace the issue for you.

I couldnt be bothered to wait, so i filed 1 of the screws down to fit tight. Had to take about 2mm off the length of mine. Holds the rod tight amd dosent seem to pose any future problems, but i have been using threadlock on all the screws in the framework. Think there must be a bad batch of rods.

Same problem with one of the spacers not being drilled deep enough. I’ve contacted CS so hopefully I’ll not have to wait too long

Although, i must add, if you collect via a newsagent rather than a direct sub with de ag/MS then you may have to ask your newsagent to re order it. Which can be a bit more difficult as they use a supplier, not de ag directly in most cases. but it is always worth contacting the publisher first as they are usually pretty good.

That's not the case, I collect from newsagent, had a problem with issue 70, rang CS and they sent out a new one FOC.

i stand corrected! thank you for clearing things up there.

i only mentioned it because in the past i have had trouble trying to get replacements via newsagents (was a production from a different company though). i have edited my post

Just so you know, as a normal rule c/s are instructed not to do so for one reason alone, they have no proof that your actually buying it where as your Newsagent has. If buying via a Newsagent, the contract of supply is via the Newsagent.
