Latest Academy plastic kit ship release - 1/350 Premium Edition kit of the Admiral Graf Spee, which includes wood decking, brass gun barrels and photo-etched brass detail parts.

The format of kit is on very similar lines to the limited edition 1/400 premium RMS Titanic kit they released not too long ago

If you want the Titanic then don't hang around, its a limited edition kit which is only 1,500 worldwide, where the majority have been snapped up by collectors.

Me thinks that with the Titanic centenary coming up next year there is bound to be a part build in the offing from someone somewhere...I've built the Hatchette version of Titanic and gave it to my new next door neighbour (a Titanic enthusiast)when we first moved into our present abode (no room)But I'd love to build her again?

remember it well,the titanic by hatchett.I like you gave it to a workmate when I retired from the nhs.

The photo etched parts look amazing, but there's quite a bit more plastic that I thought there would be. I thought there might be a bit more metal and wood in there. Still a stunning model though. Painted up, it would be a real looker.

If I was going to do this I think I would have it in a case with a diorama to set it off. Perhaps a mock up of the iceberg with the Titanic sailing towards it don't you think?

By the way what paints would you use for this? Because you have a combination of materials in this model.
