Thanks for that info Tomick. The Graf Spee, a lovely ship, and what a wonderful model to build.

If you want the Titanic then don't hang around, its a limited edition kit which is only 1,500 worldwide, where the majority have been snapped up by collectors.

Me thinks that with the Titanic centenary coming up next year there is bound to be a part build in the offing from someone somewhere...I've built the Hatchette version of Titanic and gave it to my new next door neighbour (a Titanic enthusiast)when we first moved into our present abode (no room)But I'd love to build her again? Current Builds: Deagostini HMS Victory: Deagostini HMS Sovereign of the seas. Completed Builds: Del Prado: HMAS Bounty: Hachette: RMS Titanic: Del Prado: Cutty Sark...

The photo etched parts look amazing, but there's quite a bit more plastic that I thought there would be. I thought there might be a bit more metal and wood in there. Still a stunning model though. Painted up, it would be a real looker.
If I was going to do this I think I would have it in a case with a diorama to set it off. Perhaps a mock up of the iceberg with the Titanic sailing towards it don't you think?
By the way what paints would you use for this? Because you have a combination of materials in this model.
