So, you`ve just made the most amazing paint job with you airbrush and you go through the cleaning process with said airbrush.
Result: Nice clean sparkling as new airbrush.
Truth: Over time residue builds up inside your airbrush that you can`t see even if you completely strip it to the bare bones.
With some new found knowledge I`ve just done a semi strip down cleaning job on my airbrush and the results are:

Note to self "Do it more often"
So what did I use:
An Ultrasonic cleaner (Not the most expensive by any means)
A cleaning fluid that you can put your most expensive "GOLD" in without any worry
and
Warm water straight from the tap.
Now you don`t need to perform this operation every time you use your airbrush, but if in frequent use maybe once a month.
Below I have attached three pictures:
First, I removed the inner tray of the ultrasonic cleaner and this is the residue left on it.
Second, with everything removed from the ultrasonic cleaner the residue is amazing. The inside surface of the ultrasonic cleaner is in as new condition so every black mark is residue from my airbrush. Add that to what was left on the internal tray and you can see what has "NOT" been cleaned out before.
Third, my airbrush now really clean prior to reassembly.
Amazed, no I was "SHOCKED" so a job to be done more often.
One final tip: Spray a few drops of a quality airbrush cleaner as this will have a lubricating fluid in its make up and keep your airbrush in tip-top condition
