Unfortunately they are not very good. Forum rules prevent me from posting a link to better examples of colourised ww1 images. Rich.

That is your opinion and your welcome to it, the pictures for most people are a different look at the past and are seen as that. If people are more inclined to look for more and better pictures after seeing those in the link then they have done there job by that very act alone. Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Your right is is my opinion, but please remember it is also my professional opinion. Poor colouring of this standard is harmful, because as you said "looks fine to me" but they really are not - it one thing for amateurs to produce this standard of work but it isn't acceptable for a published piece of work. When colouring something from history great care an attention needs to take place to make sure the pictures accurately depict that moment in time. Rich.

Ok let's look at it another way, a model is finished and is clearly (to you model experts) not of a good standard and it's not accurate either, but is being used for something the general public may look as being correct. You then might comment how it's not really up to standard for the use it's been given... You then might get what appear like flippant comments from people that say , looks great to me etc etc... It's something I obviously feel passionate about and as I said have no problem with amateurs colouring images but if they are to be published in a 'history book' that people will consider to be correct then they should be. If you guys can't understand this then i don't know what more I could say. Thanks Rich.

Being passionate about a subject is fine and welcome but imposing your opinion on others as being the only one thats valid is taking it a little far. I guess if the DM had used your images, there would be other's out there who might think they could do better. Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .
