Thank you All, for the good comments, much appreciated.

Issue 85 continued:

- Roundhouses completed with small arches
- They glued in place, pilasters glued onto them
- Centre arch fitted
- Doors and hatches drawn with permanent marker (pencil didn't show up on the painted surface)
- Door handles and hinges fitted. I decided not to paint the hinges blue (as on the real ship), to show them a bit.

Then.... I wasn't quite happy with the result regarding the doors & hatches.
Also after I drawn them I figured out that on the real ship the hatches are actually not in line with the top of the doors (as per the magazine) but in line with the bottom of them (or close to the bottom)
So I decided to make a small upgrade.
First, carefully removed the eyebolts and the hinges.
With a home made sanding tool (due to restricted space) I sanded off the remainder superglue and touched up the surfaces with blue paint to cover the sandings and the permanent pen markings.
Earlier in the build I noticed that the 1x5 strips are actually made from two 0.5x5 mm strips glued together.
Some of them I couldn't use because the two layers started to separate from each other.
However they came very handy for my plan... I separated one strip, and using only one 0.5 thick strip, I cut two squares (4.5 x 4.5 mm) for the hatches and two rectangles (15 x 5 mm) for the doors.
Painted them blue, then fitted the hinges to the hatches.
First I fitted the doors, then the hatches in line with the bottom of the doors.
Finally, I added the two eyebolts to the doors as handles.
Later on, If there will be any spare remaining, I'm planning to add two horizontal hinges to each doors too.

Once the upgrade completed the side arches were cut to size, painted and fitted.

Hi all, thanks for the good comments again.

Issue 85 completed:
- First beakhead frame fitted
- Two side rail added
- Further rails added. Once they all fitted I had to sand down the 2-3 outermost rails to flush with the side rail, otherwise the "toilet seats" couldn't sit flat on the rails. Rails touched up with black paint.
- Toilet seats made and fitted.
- Middle section cut off

Issue 86 started:
- Bitts carved

Thanks for the good comments.

Issue 86 continued
- Bitts painted and fitted to their locations
- First three beakhead frames painted and fitted
- Then I decided that, as I did at the stern gallery window frames, I paint the edges blue/yellow as I fit the beakhead rails/frames. As per the magazine the edges supposed to paint only in Issue 92, but I think it's easier to paint the edges before the frames, rails glued in place. I forgot this for the frames, so painted yellow before I'll move forward. Tomorrow I'll add the blue stripes to the middle of the frames.
- Also painted the edge of the dolphins and the decorative mouldings
- In parallel, I checked how the first rails will fit to the frames. I found that the rail won't touch the middle frame unless the curve look sa bit weird. So I built up the corner of the middle frame a bit to ensure a natural curve for the rail.

Ahoy shipmates,
Thank you for the kind words, much appreciated.

Issue 86 continued:
- 1 mm masking tape added to the frames
- Middle line painted blue, then after it dried, tapes removed and small bleedings corrected. Probably it would have look better if only 0.5mm yellow stripes left on the edges, but I don't have that narrow masking tape, and I didn't want to paint it with free hand. Anyhow, I'm still happy with the result.
- Upper rail bent, painted and fitted. Same thing done with the rail next to the roundhouses. Here I probably made a mistake, I didn't bend the laser cut part to "wrap" the roundhouse (to follow its curve).Unfortunately it was too late when I realised that it should have done that way, I used superglue to fix them because they were painted already. I didn't want to risk to snap them trying to remove them. As a result I couldn't sand off the corner of the bulwark top because the rail was flush with the bulwark top edge. I hope it won't cause any problem later on.
- Lower rails bent, painted and fitted
- Gangboard board pillar painted and fitted
- Half pilarsters and eyebolts added to the roundhouses, eyebolts added to stem
- Gratings assembled, edgings stained and glued to the grating. will be stored separately until bowsprit fitted
- Cannon balls glued onto quarterdeck racks
- Timberheads fitted to bulwark corner
- Stem decorations spayed with primer

Ahoy shipmates,

Issue 86 completed:
- Stem decorations painted yellow and glued in place
- Bulwark pulleys painted, assembled and fitted

Issue 87 started:
- Gratings for the quarter deck assembled and glued in place
- Chimney fitted
- Eyebolts fitted around fore and main mast and behind the guns
- Compass cabinet made, painted and fitted. I used smaller eyebolts than indicated in the magazine because, compared to the cabinet, they seemed to me unrealistically big.

Thanks you guys! RollEyes

Issue 87 continued:
- With a little fixture made, the chainwale casting sprayed with primer and black.
- They glued onto the main chainwales
- All the previously made chainwales glued onto the hull. I found it easier to glue it in place first and then set the support brackets onto the correct angle. The other way round (with loose chainwales) I found it difficult, I would have probably required another pair of hands. Laugh Laugh Laugh
- Once the bracket tops and bottoms set to the desired angle I hang them on a thread and sprayed with primer and black... well... I sprayed the ones for the two fore mast chainwales and one main mast chainwale... then I ran out of both primer and black spray... Blink LOL Cursing ... order placed, couple of days to arrive.
- After the paint dried the brackets fitted to the two fore and one main mast chainwale.
- Nailheads touched up with black paint

Until they arrive Issue 88 started:
- Skipped the steps for the chainwale fittings, waiting for the sprays LOL
- Bowsprit and bowsprit cap carved
