I managed to get the gallery real panel...no problem:

Now with the gallery completed and in place...I measured all around it to see if all was well with the entire build, ready for the next step of fitting the wales,,,And while I was doing that, I could work on the hull to bring it up to the standard that I wanted? Not perfection, and definitely no museum piece, but I like it so far..

Hi budgie, I totally agree with you mate, there should be more build logs, but it took me a year before I got around to making one..LOL Plus, I am not all that good with all this fangle-dangle computer business. Oh, by the way, I'm not into football all that much, great lover of snooker and cricket, but I do keep an eye on Norwich as they are just up the road from here...Blink Yeah, I will be keeping this build log going in future...and thanks for yer comments...BigGrin

He he he...It's okay mate, I shall probably be paying more attention to the Surprise builds myself soon, as my daughter ordered a new set of miniature wood plains from off the net at a bargain price of £17 for a set of three yesterday, which means that the missus is probably likely to give me the go ahead to order Surprise from deag...So, fingers crossed mate...Drool

I managed to get on with fitting the wales today, and would like to point out a little pitfall for some of you who will or about to tackle this stage of your build. It concerns the short sections of hull planking between gun ports on the lower gun decks...When fitting the wales, and if you are pinning them, be very careful not to apply too much pressure when fixing the wales as I found it very easy to dislodge the short planks, due to my heavy handedness.Huh Mad

I got stuck into my build today, again on the wales, but I only have the upper mouldings to fit now, then comes the task of cutting around the gun ports, wriggles and holes for the gun port lids to be drilled out, in fact, the rest of issue 43...Blink

More pictures to come shipmates...BigGrin
