PACK 10
There isn’t a great deal of customising to be done in this particular pack as much of it consists of assembling and joining together of previous parts, as well as the front bodywork.
The entire front wing and bonnet (boot lid) assembly is very straight forward and needs no extra description here. Suffice to say, the model looks very impressive once these parts are added.
When putting the headlining together and adding the wiring, it is a simple matter to fix the wires in place more firmly using large self-adhesive paper labels or even making tape. That way, there’s very little chance of the wiring coming adrift as the headlining is screwed in.
When the headlining is fitted, there remain some small recessed holes where the fixing screws went in. These can easily be covered by carefully painting a piece of sticky paper label with a light grey watercolour wash. Small circles of paper can then be cut out using a simple paper hole punch. The sticky paper discs can then be stuck over the screw holes.
The inner rear side panels should now be covered in thin black leather, if you leather trimmed your seats. This is very simple as the panels are basically flat so the leather can be stuck in place with double sided tape, and then trimmed around with a sharp blade.
Once the panels are screwed into the car, it will become apparent why it was advised in a previous build stage to colour the car bodywork black around the rear side window openings. If you didn’t do this, you will have a strange white stripe on the inside of the car, between the window and the interior black panel.roymattblack attached the following image(s):
