Issue 71

Contents: Left rear wheel arch (inner), Fuel filler cap, Screws.

Expert Tip: Experienced modellers may wish to paint the well that surrounds the filler cap for added authenticity. This part of the wheel arch will be revealed when the flap on the rear wing is opened. Paint the base and sides of the well British Racing Green to match the colour of the bonnet and doors.

Take the assembly from Stage 70 and the floor extension from Stage 69, plus the parts supplied this time. Align the filler cap with the hole in the wheel arch by matching up the keyhole shape and pressing into place. Turn the assembly over and secure the cap with a single screw. Holding the floor extension as shown, Fit the pin projecting from the corner of the floor extension into the small hole in the right wheel arch. Fit the notches in the edge of the wheel arch over the three tabs projecting from the side of the rear floor, ensuring that the corresponding pin from the previous step fits in the slot as shown. Press the wheel arch into place and turn the assembly over to make sure all the mounting holes are lined up before securing the wheel arch with three screws. Check that the floor extension flips up and down smoothly.

This issue is now complete. Store the assembly and any unused parts in an issue labelled bag.
