I've been waiting for my box #17 for a couple of weeks. Called about 4 times and the same answer ( it will be shipped out the next day). Money was taken out of my account on the 2nd of July and still waiting....

Delivery can take up to 14 working days. Are you based UK or USA? C/S should be able to confirm it has actually been shipped.

Same boat (USA) Sometimes they don't get them from the UK on schedule. They'll send them when they get them (I got 2 in 1 month previously due to this)

I’m in th same boat. Month 17, billed 15 days ago, still waiting for shipment, being told it will be any day now. Asked for a real ETA so I can quit checking UPS every day.

Same thing going on with me with month 9. Almost 2 weeks since I was charged for it. Usually issues arrive a day of two after shipping. Customer service said it was a warehouse issue but would be shipping soon. That was almost a week ago.

Yeah a bunch of us are all in the same boat.
and it normally is a boat from china that is the problem....
last year one of the asian shipping lines was going bankrupt and all the ports were not letting them dock cuase they could not be sure they would get paid the dock fees. so it took weeks to get stuff ... i hope this is over soon...

Thanks for starting this topic. I think this is a USA problem. Payment on July 2; no shipment by July 19. My added concern is that I am gifting this build to my grandsons (ages 9 and 10) and they are built through Issue 64. In June their family moved from Georgia to Tennessee, and I called US Customer Service on June 12 to change the shipping address for Month 17 and later. Because they had not received Month 17 by today, I was concerned that the shipment had been sent to the old address in error. So, I now know Month 17 has not been sent, and I do not know if the address change was processed to the shipping department. We shall see.

FalconBuilder - I don't know if you've ever done this, but if you register with UPS MyChoice - you can catch a shipment that has already left the warehouse and redirect it online to another location (for a fee), or to a UPS store that is close to where you want it to go (for free). I use this every now and then to redirect a shipment.

Called customer service again. Same answer, Month 17 parts are at the warehouse but they are having problems that are preventing them from shipping anything (even though they shipped my Millenium Falcon package 2 weeks ago). 3+ weeks now. No ETA. I'd feel better if they said that they're having a supplier problem, or a shipment was lost or something that was beyond their control. This doesn't bode well...

Good to hear Month 17 is starting to ship. Not good that no one in customer service can reply to emails. All I’ve wanted for four weeks now is an eta and explanation (which I still haven’t gotten). Amazing that no one can hit reply to an email and just give a simple explanation about what’s going on. Even traded messages with a guy on Facebook who couldn’t get any replies - and he’s an employee. Just amazing.

Me too. Spoke w/ them, and got the same basic story (except in this version of the story the month 17 parts weren't in yet). But I also asked what it means for month 18 and was told that once (if?) month 17 ships, then month 18 would automatically wait a month before shipping - but that I could call and ask that it be moved up. Having said that, she also told me that month 18 parts weren't in yet. Man, I really hope this is just a planning or supplier error and not a long-winded way to drop the R2D2 model. If the US does drop the model, I wonder if we could pick it up from the UK?

Is there a general order problem in the US? Been almost 2 weeks since normal billing date and still nothing. Waiting on box 15.

Rest assured, R2-D2 is not being dropped in the USA or anywhere else.

what i do not understand is this:

the company has charged customer for a product, the company has our email addresses to notify us of charges and shipment of goods.
but when this delay has held back shipping for more than a week (a month now) the company did not email the customers to advise us of the delay.
the company should at the least have done that as part of standard operations.

second: most companies that ship goods only place what is known was an "auth hold" on a credit card when they start to prepare for an order shipment and close the auth hold when they have a confirmation from the where house that the box is packed, has a shipping label and is going out the door.

that way if the box does not get packed on time the company does not collect any funds from the customer and the customer does not have credit used with no product in hand.

this company should do both things, it would go a long way to reducing call emails and forum complaints about this stuff.

i see the new x-wing starting and i have to say that given the things that have happend in the past it makes it very hard for me to feel like i want to give the company more of my money.

sorry but someone is failing to do some basic management and it shows.

If you are unhappy regarding US delivery then you need to voice this with US c/s who are paid to pass such matters to the US office.
Thank you
