The copper sheathing tiles can be tack marked around the perimeter edge, which can be done with use of a 'Pounce wheel' tool, (commonly known as a Rivet maker).

The concept is simple enough, the wheel of the tool is a sharp-toothed cog-wheel, which when run along a surface such as a copper tile, it produces a line of embossed dents, which when the tile is turned over, what were indentations on one side are raised heads on the other, though some people prefer the sunken nail look.

The finer the pitch of the teeth of the wheel, the closer the indentation spacing is.

Those who subscribed to Hachette's Lancaster series will have such a tool.

If anybody's interested I've got 2 of the Hachette pinwheels from the Lancaster which I don't need. If you want one PM me and I'll sort something out.
