Hi guys,
The right leg sensor tests outlined in Issue 53 have failed for me. I've done my research, read a bunch of threads, watched a bunch of videos, tried a different lighting conditions, surfaces, distances, checked batteries and connections etc, but still the test fails.
I've read some folk have had replacement parts sent. Maybe the test board, maybe the sensor board, maybe the sensor.
I've just spoken to the customer service team (0333 300 1517) and they told me that rather than replace specific parts I need to tell them what issues I need replaced.
So, would I be correct in thinking I need the following?
Issue 32 contains – Infrared Sensor, Fixing Screws, Fixing Nuts.
Issue 52 - Sensor Control Board, Sensor Calibration Panel.
Issue 53 contains – Test Board, Test Cables.
Chris.

Just a quick question. Did you fit the calibration panel as supplied in issue 52 before the test? Mark

Hi Cris I have one question before we go on to the above question have you placed the 'Sensor Calibration Panel' in position as per the instructions in issue 52 [ see the official build]. If its fitted then you will need to replace issues 32 and 52 only as the test board has never been a problem in the past. Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Mark Yes indeed I fitted the calibration panel/strip of plastic prior to the test.

OK I'll request issues issues 32 and 52. Just spoke to customer services again and they tell me I need to phone back on Monday because they are doing a stocktake. Oh well. :(
Thanks Mark and Andy for your help. :)

Hi. I seem to have the same problem with the green light not going off on both legs. I already have a replacement test board. Any ideas anyone please?

Hi are the test box battery's new if they are not try the test again with fresh battery's also is the sensor calibration panel in place. If you get the same results with new battery's then replace the sensor. Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Brilliant thank you. Changed the batteries and on one leg the light goes out immediately and on the other there is very slight glow left but definitely sensing if the leg is on the ground or not.
Thanks again

I had a miss wire in my cable to the right IR sensor and just rewired it at the exposed end, here is a picture of what I did, hope it helps.
