Next up is to do some shapeing of the balsa fillets I fitted to the base of the Hull.

I prefer to shape alittle bit at a time, its along build ( 100 issues ) so I do not have to rush, I can stand back and review each time I do it.

You will see any progress when you look back on the build, here we are:-

The planking should go on a treat when it's faired mate, did the same with the stern and bow of my Victory, once glued, the planks were pretty firm...Keep the pics coming...ThumpUp

Hi again, the next job to do is line the rear deck Bulwarks.

You use stips of planking that have been left over from when you planked the Decks, see photo

Now run some glue along the length of the plank (I use Aliphatic for better adhesion) place it on the Bulwark, and clamp it in place.

Repeat the procedure for the other side, and leave to harden, it will look like this:-

Hi Fozy,

I built the decks in one piece before fitting to the Ship,I then sanded them, stained them ,then sanded them again to obtain a slightly lighter colour, then fitted them to the ship ( I did not fit first because this stain will "BLEED")LOL

Then used a water based varnishBigGrin

We will now finish lineing the last 1/3rd of the rear bulwark, apply the glue to the plank fit it and clamp it.And repeat for the other sideMellow
As you can see the plank does not fit to the top of the Bulwark, we will add a couple of fillets next, when what we have done so far BigGrin is set.
