Dear member

I cannot stop myself to express the excitement. I used to be an MFH kits builder and recently started to purchase Deagostini's car kits (GT2000 and GSX1300). It's a very nice surprise.

I just downloaded the instruction manuals from pack 1 to pack 11 of the 911RS kit and found out that the part count is over 550! This kit seems to have higher part count than some other kits. There are limitless opportunities for further detailing because abundant images and information regarding this car are available on the web or books.

Building Deagostini car kits is going to be a very different experience from building MFH 1:12 sports car: MFH's design is extremely refined and almost 100% accurate to the real car (in fact, the Deagostini/Kyosho 1/8 MP4/4 kit is CAD-designed by them). The end product of MFH kits can be breathtakingly beautiful, but the building process was an exhausting experience (all the cleaning, sanding, glueing, painting, decals applying, clear-coating, sanding again, polishing, and waxing jobs of white metal and resin parts).

Deagostini kits are very different, and in a good way. It is big, with adequate details, and loads of fun with all the lightings and sound. Builders can simply enjoy the process of building, or they can choose to detail the car to whatever extent they like (although there are not enough 1/8 after-market parts sometimes).

This kit is going to be a great joy to build (as well as Jaguar and Countach). I am looking forward to being able to buy the full kit soon!

MFH kits are awesome but SO much work. The GT 2000 is superb. The countach is also a beautiful kit and I am half way through the Porsche and it is MILES better than the POcher kit.

The 911 kit is really nice, and as you mention you can customise it if you wish.

I’m loving my custom build of this kit.

All the best

Rich.
