Ok so I have shaped the MDF base and then added milliput, a couple extra rocks before a base coat (fig 1/2)
Next undercoat of black (fig 3) the a dusting of 2 shades of grey so there is some depth and shadow.
next I added some more rocks around the base and filled in between with black milliput. The whole thing will get a dry brush of grey and white to make it pop.

Nicely done, looks like a worthy base for Toruk to stand on.

Thanks Guys sorry its bee a while but work has taken over but here is the first of a few posts to catch up with the progress.
The dreaded paintingCrying so this will be my only 2nd airbrush paint job either it will look good or horribly wrong.
First this is to painstakingly mask all the transparent wings both side, firstly a good coat of base white all over I did then cut in around all the wings ready for the airbrushing.

Gotta watch those wings for sure you defiantly need spacial awareness or tingAngry so I have put on a yellow base coat and started to put in the first layers of shading.
Some of the base oranges and redound spots around the neck with some earth coloured shading on the wing undersides.
