Looks good to me. When I planked the Gulnara it had walnut planking too but found soaking them in a spaghetti storage jar [ I have a tall one ] helped. Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi All, Another small update. More planking. Careful selection and soaking the planks a little longer seemed to help with the splitting - Thanks again. Almost there... Kind regards, Garth Garth attached the following image(s): "Measure twice, cut once!!!" Finished!!! HMS Victory, Current build: Black Pearl. Hi All, Planking done!!! Well the first stage anyway. I gave the planks a once over with my Mouse Sander. I made up 23 Lanterns. I have documented them in more detail earlier in my blog. Sorry about the fuzzy image – camera shake. While the soldering iron was out I assembled the rudder. I added pins for detail. I noticed that the lower section was lopsided, so I used the sanding bit on the Dremel to open the other end slightly. Kind regards, Garth Garth attached the following image(s): "Measure twice, cut once!!!" Finished!!! HMS Victory, Current build: Black Pearl. On hold: Bismarck, Golden Hind, Flying Scotsman, Victory Cross Section, SOTS, Tiger 1. Wish list: USS Constitution.
