The next phase saw the addition of edging strip to the lower deck. This edging strip is where the guard rails will be fixed to at a later date. I chose 1.0mm x 1.5mm plastic strip for this job. I couldn't make one strip to fit all the way round, so split it into two parts. The attached photo shows the first section being bent by hand to suit the profile of the lower deck, I didn't want to just glue it without some bending as it would prove tricky to locate and have internal stresses. The next step in adding modifications was the inclusion of lockers, two each side, on the lower deck. The attached photo shows a close up of the lockers on the 1/72 scale donor model which I wanted to replicate.
