About to order a subscription, and I see Tomick, last December, advised to order the copper tiles while supply lasts. Is it still the case that the supply my run out?
Thanks for any reply.

Yes, I see that, but wonder if I should buy now, or risk they'll be unavailable later in the build. Thanks for the reply.

If you know you are going to tile the ship, best order them now, Bruce.

Ordered today. I've previously read thru the instructions, (as well as beginning the official build diary on youtube), they're very clear. Thanks, Tomick, for the reply!

Hello there
about the tile pack that model space sells, may I ask if they run out why wouldn't they restock the tiles and if that the case would it be cheaper to buy copper tape roll and what size works for the 1/84 scale Victory kit, when I'm ready to tile the ship and do I need to get a dimple roller for rivets marks thank you

To avoid the problem of the tiles going out of stock I would get them now, at least then you would have them in your possession.

There is a PDF instructions download which will guide you through the process of fitting the tiles. Here's a link:

If you go the copper tape route, which I wouldn't recommend, you would be on your own regarding fitting/application. The hull surface will need to have a gloss finish for good adhesion of the self adhesive tape, whereas tiles can be glued with contact adhesive. You will also need a pounce wheel/nail making tool for both the tiles and the tape.

Regards

Alan
