I would really like to see a partwork for one of the legendary Mercedes Petronas 2014 or 2015 or 2016 cars.

It would be a new improved Kyosho F1 RC car, nitro or electric.

From modern F1 cars, We alrady have the McLaren static 2008 Hamilton F1 car and the RC Red Bull RB7. A F1 "update" from Kyosho would be wonderful!!!

Do you know if there are any plans for a release like this?

Kyosho is currently under a comple restructure after near going bust in April 2018 and was acquired by an investment fund (Shinsei Bank) with plans for a restructure of the business. So you won’t be seeing much new from them for a while.
The Shinsei Bank is rebuilding the Kyosho management by boosting expansion of Asian sales channels & customers in growth markets. Former President Aki Suzuki is continuing in an advisory role to the company whilst Katsumi Watanabe is already listed as President on Kyosho’s own website. Interestingly in the company milestone timeline, it reads, 2018: Kyosho “Reborn”.

R/C F1 product is less popular now than its ever been and main F1 model market now being static display kits., even Tamiya have stopped developing F1 and instead, chosen to re-release updated versions of old F1 kits such as the Tyrell P34

DeAgostini teamed up with Kyosho a while back, to produce a Senna Lotus Renault 97T nitro F1 car which was tested in Brazil which hasn’t progressed despite it looking a lovely model in its black/ yellow Olympus livery and scale treaded tyres.

Yes, this sounds an amazing model! If I remember correctly it had a test run on France in 2015 from Altaya. It looks so beautiful!

Do you know if it is permanently cancelled or there is any possibility to be released in the future?

It could surface in future but as it’s not gone beyond a test in Brazil and France, it’s looking unlikely.

If a new F1 car kit would come out, the Mercedes F1 car would be justified because, after the MP4/4 the Mercedes W07 Hybrid was the single most dominant car in F1.

Hamilton, like Senna, is getting more and more status and already has 5 titles.

So you got a car and a pilot to make for a cool kit :)
Although it was Rosberg that won the championship that year. Blushing

Or maybe bring out the 2018 Mercedes F1 W09 kit in the future, the pinnacle of F1 in terms of record trackspeed, downforce and safety (Halo).
