The FIA rules state there should be no changes to the rules during a season, they must wait till the end of the season and before the next one starts, so is what they are doing to favour THE RED ONE legal?Mad Mad Cursing

It is a joke to change such a complex thing during the pratice sessions, this is what is spoiling the sport, to many rules! bring back the days when drivers gave there cars up for there team mate! nigel mansel pushing his car home! James Hunt smoking a fag when recieving his trophy. The fun and passion has almost gone, which is really sad.

It all comes down to Ferrari, i love Ferrari's and unfortunattly Ferrari is F1 but i do feel if Ferrari did leave everyone would be sad for about a year...NOT

I must be missing something somewhere as I thought that Renault complained to the FIA about the original rule change and when the FIA changed the rule back to what it was then MaClaren started complaining. Nothing to do with Ferrari. But hey, don't let the facts get in the way of a good rant.LOL LOL LOL LOL

BigGrin Hi all,

A lifelong McLaren fan me, win or lose and I would love to see Button win at Silverstone, however, even though I am getting a bit bored with Red Bull domination at the moment, I am so VERY,VERY pleased to see them lock out the front row yet again. That's two fingers up to the FIA if you ask me and I loved it when the pre-qualifying angry and depressed face on Christian Horner turned to a post-qualifying smile and a look of supreme satisfaction!! LOL LOL

The FIA think they can meddle with the rules just to favour one team over another, or to try and reign in a team that seems to be running away with the championships and always, they do this to try and keep the viewers/fans interested? Nothing to do with a sport where the best should win, ... all about Bernies' circus and keeping the money coming in at all costs!! Well, Bernie, FIA and all, guess what ... your interfering doesn't seem to be working because Red Bull are STILL at the front and boring as it seems, that is the way it should be.

If Red Bull have developed a very fast car within the specifications given by the FIA at the start of the season, then the other teams, including my favourite McLaren, need to get with it and catch up, NOT complain to the FIA that they want something banned to make it fairer (which it ain't!!). F1 is all about cutting edge and innovation and constantly banning innovation and excellence to favour the less inventive designers/teams will ONLY make the sport duller in my view. Cursing Cursing Crying Crying

P.S Well done Mark Webber, hope you (or Button) get the win!! ThumpUp ThumpUp

Mad Well, what can I say?? Yes, the racing was really exciting, but ... with the help of the FIA meddling in the regulations, it would seem that having given Ferrari the advantage by cuffing those with a better car, yet again we have ANOTHER race result determined by the rule makers instead of the drivers and teams!! It would seem that Ferrari only have to ask and the FIA will do all they can to help them win !!!Cursing Cursing

If I had to use just a few words to sum up the modern version of F1, what would they be?? Well I think these would work ... PRE-ORDAINED, ORCHESTRATED, CHOREOGRAPHED?? ... I don't know how much longer I can watch this rubbish and seriously think I will give it a miss for the rest of the season and beyond!! It ain't racing per se anymore just a scripted show put on by Bernie, the FIA, Ferrari and their cohorts, so to you Bernie et al I say goodbye, arrivederci, au revoir!! Door slams behind me!!!!!!Cursing Cursing Cursing Cursing Cursing

I know where you are coming from kev.

Bernie at the begining of the race said everyone has signed but after the race Ferrari said no!

And it is strange that before all this came to light Ferrari came with an all new aero package for the rear, coincidence? i think not....And correct me if i am wrong but is Jean Todt the FIA president?

I had to go out as soon as the race finished yesterday so did I miss anything, such as a stewards enquiry over Hamilton's latest incident on the last lap?? Denied a podium finish, was he right to drive into the side of Massa which could have resulted in neither driver getting any points? Confused

Surely if Schumacher got a stop and go penalty for loosing the rear of his car in variable track conditions, they should penalise Hamilton and carry the penalty over to the next race? Angry

There needs to be a consistent approach by the stewards, even if the FIA tried to turn our Grand Prix into a rules fiasco.

Hi Kev. The rear diffuser rule change was agreed a couple of months ago so ALL the teams knew what was coming. Why didn't Red Bull, Maclaren et al complain then? In my opinion, the reason Ferrari were ready with new rear end parts was forward planning. They are going to have to go back to the old parts in Germany. So Red Bull and Maclaren will go back to being faster than the Ferraris. Let Ferrari enjoy their one moment of glory.BigGrin BigGrin BigGrin

By the way, I'm a Ferrari fan. Have been since I watched the film Grand Prix in 1965 or 1966 (memory fade againBigGrin BigGrin ).
