Hello Guys, Thank you for the nice comments, much appreciated. Issue 101 completed:- all the ratlines fitted to all masts. It sounds sooooo simple however in the last 12 days I was working through them slowly. Sometimes with some scream, when I pushed the needle into my finger , sometime with killing back, due to the continuous standing to reach the topmasts , sometimes with numb fingers, after pushing the needle through hundred times ... but got there at the end. Issue 102 started:- fore breast backstays fitted gingerale75 attached the following image(s): Happy building! Laszlo Finished builds: HMS Victory, HMS Victory Cross-Section

Ahhh, ratlines.... a ship modellers favourite task when it comes to rigging..... β¦ All looks good though so time well spent.... very well done.... Regards Alan

I prefere the knot tying method but its all horses for courses to get past the rat lines, either way it looks like a trip up everest without oxygen but worth it in the end Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Great work, I'm currently doing Shrouds and Ratlines. Soo time consuming. Well done for getting past them. Chris π On the bench 1/350 Revell Tirpitz Platinum Edition (Pontos PE and Wooden deck) plus extra Eduard PE set and extra MK1 door sets.

The ratlines were loose, snaking and uneven. I'm pretty sure that the pros can do better than me, but seeing the result of my trial I decided to remove those ratlines and go for the easier way. Ahoy Shipmates, Thank you for the kind words, means a lot to me. Issue 102 continued:- all the backstays fitted to all three masts During the making of these I think I caught (or discovered) one of the ship-modeller's disease. I just call it "rope-blindness". Basically, my eyes just can't focus where I want if I need to look through 2-3 already fitted layers of thread to fit another one behind/front of them. They just keep jumping focus between the threads. gingerale75 attached the following image(s): Happy building! Laszlo Finished builds: HMS Victory, HMS Victory Cross-Section

Great update!
Maybe it`s just the angle of your pic - but your main mast looks to be inclined backwards quite a bit - even more than the mizzen?
Keep up the good work!Greetings, Walter
