If you have a problem or complaint about subscription, delivery or have received/missing damaged parts, please contact Customer Services first. They are paid by DeAgostini ModelSpace to resolve such matters.
When you call or email, please keep a record of who you spoke to and when. C/S contact detail is noted within the magazine and invoice. If you are not helped, or your problem not resolved by C/S, you can then message any of the Forum Support Team to investigate further. However, for your own security, do this as a Private Message rather than post onto the forum as you will need to also provide account and address details etc.
However, don't PM any of the Team without first contacting C/S, otherwise you will be referred back to C/S.
Thanks

I get mine from the newsagents, Issue 92 was there for me. No leaflet inside for ordering batteries but a full page on the type of batteries needed and where to purchase from. (I know it's no concelation because you need the battery box but you could order the batteries so you have them ready for when issue 92 arrives) All this info is the same as what Tomick has posted up in another thread. I would order now or we will have another Tamiya Insignia White situation ๐คช Hope everyone gets issue 92 on time ๐ Darren

The instructions for 92 also say - Do not charge the batteries, attempt to fit them to the battery box, or install them in R2-D2 until instructed, when all the internal wiring is connected up.
This will NOT be until issue 100

Has anyone in the UK who doesn't have 90-93 showing as 'sent' yet on the DeAG site, phoned customer services yet?
I don't want to bombard them with calls if someone else has been told that there's just a few days delay or something similar.

It seems to match the requirements given in Tomick's battery topic. Simon I would say no, they seem to be flat at both ends, need button top. Spudtrooper37 attached the following image(s): Darren

It seems to match the requirements given in Tomick's battery topic. Simon No - Your not reading the spec as noted
The spec needs to be:
Type 18650 lithium-ion Button-top (not flat-top) 3.7volts 2000mAh or over 3amps or above (continuous output) Unprotected type

I don't want to bombard them with calls if someone else has been told that there's just a few days delay or something similar. i called earlier today. they apologized for the delay and said it was strange that my allocation hadn't happened yet (on 2 subs accounts). they confirmed all issues were ins stock and that i should see my account update by the end of the week. Unfortunately, yes. I got my issue 92, found no insert, and started looking for batteries. The reviews on Amazon for these batteries are polar opposites (pun not intended) Some people are really happy, others are quite scary. The difference makes it obvious that some people are getting the real deal and others are getting fakes. There are warnings about them catching fire, and one guy actually tested them against a known good battery and said they were definitely NOT 2600 to 2800mAh, more like 500 to 600mAh. When someone has the insert, can they please post a picture of it? I would really like to get the batteries through DeAgostini rather than take the risk of getting batteries like this - and I hope that we are not going to receive this brand of batteries if we do! [Edit] Oh, and won't it be a bit hard to leave the charging until issue 100? Firstly, I thought we were to use the charger supplied with issue 92 to check that the batteries were charging properly and were 'good'. Secondly, isn't issue 93 the components that hold the battery pack and main circuit board? Won't we have trouble getting the batteries in place if all that has already been installed? Or are you saying that we can do no more construction until issue 100? I'm not an electrician, so I have no problems if that is the case as I don't want to damage anything, but I don't see a problem with charging the batteries and getting them into the case provided that you don't connect the battery pack to anything else. There is no battery offer insert in 92 (info will be available shortly). What I suggest you all do is await further information about the DeAgostini plan for the battery. It is not required for use ahead of issue 100.

Perhaps you should wait until you actually have issue 92 instead of taking something out of context that you have not fully seen or read. In actual fact the battery you talk of is only used as an example set against a flat-top battery that is also shown and also highlights the elements to look for. Nowhere does it recommend or suggest the purchase of the battery you talk of.
For many reasons, battery selection should be very carefull choice. The preferable route is to await the DeAgostini battery offer, which is of the correct spec and from a reputable source., Iโd say itโs a no brainer for all.

Tomick, I DO actually have issue 92. I can say I was misled by the pictures. Also, the locked thread about the batteries contains multiple references to waiting to get the guide and offer in issue 92. Now, I understand that things will slip occasionally, but a quick note by an admin to say that the offer was not going into issue 92 after all would have been appreciated. Yes, there were some green batteries in some of those pictures, but from memory I can't say what brand they were. The red ones, however, have the manufacturer's brand name in multiple places. This gives the impression that the red ones are considered superior to the green ones, and will start people looking for that brand - therefore suggesting people purchase that brand of battery. My intention has always been to get batteries, if available, from Deagostini directly, so I will continue to wait until I have the information on how to do this. However, it now looks like my issues will be stored for the next 2 months as I will not move on until such time as I can test, charge, and install the battery pack knowing I have to install other items on top of it. Thanks As mentioned, i contacted C/S via the phone number in the magazine, and i posted my response from them. I HAVE NOT pm'd anyone as you are suggesting. They said my account would update by the end of the week with my delivery allocation. They said to call them back for escalation of that didnt happen. As yet there is still no update that my delivery for October (issue 90 onwards) has been sent. If there is still no update tomorrow i shall indeed call them back for escalation. So I've just called c/s regarding this months delivery not yet being sent & they've told me it will be sent by the end of next week.
What has really annoyed me is that apparently the next delivery will then follow 1 month later & so on, meaning I'm now a few weeks behind where I should have been & by my reckoning there is pretty much no chance now that R2 will be completed by Christmas, maybe not even this year with Christmas post & everything.
